In the Studio
It’s been a crazy couple of weeks keeping the studio up and running. First, my lawnmower died and the yard turned into a field of dreams. Then the upstairs bath leaked through the floor, creating a small lake, and my drawing tablet decided to quit on me. After some tinkering I got the mower running, sealed the leak, and—with some back and forth with Wacom support—brought the tablet back to life. Even with all the chaos, I still managed to squeeze in some art.

I’m currently working on the next three-issue Margo Intergalactic Trash Collector story arc. After breaking down the scripts into three 20-page issues, I created the line art in Clip Studio Paint. Once I added the lettering and dialogue in Adobe Illustrator, I sent it off to editor Steve Colle for review. Let’s just say—mistakes were made. After Steve and I went through the storyline and fixed the dialogue, I was able to move on to the coloring.
In the opening splash page, a drone surveys a crater on the distant planet Proxo-7. Here’s a look at my process for the page.
Sketch card art Part-2
Last time I shared some sketch cards for the upcoming horror crowdfunding “Edgar Allan Poe's Besprinkled in Scarlet” campaign. I had so much fun doing them that I decided to create a few more.
Keep creating,
Glad you were able to get the studio back up and humming along. Nice sketch cards too. They one guy looks familiar 🤔😀
Nice setup!
