The Setup...
In this scenario, a colossal gap in the cosmos is emitting spores that traverse the universe in search of planets to create gateways for an invasive army. One of these spores lands on a verdant planet, home to a solitary monk residing on a hillside. Believing the spore to be a divine message, the monk unwittingly attracts the attention of the Invaders, who swiftly surround him.
I have previously shared my progress on the first three pages of an eight-page Margo story. Now, I am transitioning from flattening to adding more intricate color details. Below, you can see how the pages have evolved.
As I work on visualizing the story, I begin by creating rough sketches to set the scene for each individual moment.
As I transition to digital inking, I can easily make any necessary changes to the artwork before moving into more detailed work.
In the next stage, I add color flats to the pages on a single layer. This allows me to select and modify different areas more easily, especially as the colors become more complex
With my flats in position, I can now proceed to overlay new layers/colors onto precise sections of my pages.
I can't wait to share with you the upcoming posts, where we'll explore the exciting pages 4-6. In those pages, you'll get introduced to Margo and the crew, and witness some thrilling action scenes that I've created.
Keep creating,
